As long as the surface roughness and straightness of the main sealing surface can be guaranteed to meet the requirements, as long as the material wear resistance is good, the mechanical seal can achieve very little leakage, even the naked eye can not see the leakage.
1.2 Long life. In o ring mechanical seal
, the main wear part is seal friction pair face. Because the amount of wear on the sealing end face is small under normal working conditions. It can be used continuously for 1-2 years in general, 5-10 years in special occasions.
1.3 No adjustment is required during operation. Because the o ring mechanical seal needs spring force and fluid pressure to fit friction pair, in the operation of the automatic contact, assembly is not like ordinary soft packing as need to adjust the pressure.
1.4 Resistance to vibration. PV value was continuously increased at a rotational speed of 3000r/min with the maximum amplitude not exceeding 0.05mm.
1.5 Low power loss. Packing seal worls by packing pressure on the shaft or shaft sleeve. Packing seal and shaft have direct friction. The tighter the packing pressure, the greater the friction force and the greater the power consumption. The mechanical seal friction is in the state of semi-liquid friction. Friction coefficient is very small, and the mechanical seal power loss is 10 ~ 50% of the packing seal.
1.6 The bellows seal shaft or sleeve is free from wear and is not sensitive to the swing of the rotating shaft and the deflection of the shaft.
