General Introduction of Ring Type Rotary Seal Device

The ring type rotary seal device is mainly applied to the dynamic seal of the rotating shaft. For example, the seal between the connecting disc on the clutch and the stationary bearing seat. The steering clutch of a bulldozer adopts the structure type of wet, multi slice, spring pressure and hydraulic separation. In its working process, the power transfer is controlled by joining and separating. In the joint state, the clutch active and the passive friction disc are pressed by the pressure spring, and the torque transmitted from the transmission is driven by the large bevel gear. In the separation state, the piston makes the clutch between the active and the passive friction plates to stop and separate without pressure.

The ring type rotary seal device is composed of a ring and a sealing ring groove. The outer cylindrical surface of the connecting disc mounted on the high-speed rotating shaft is provided with a plurality of sealing ring grooves, and a ring is installed in each ring groove. The ring is attached fixedly to the inner surface of the bearing seat connected to the machine frame by its own elasticity and liquid pressure. The ring type rotary seal device is usually used for sealing in series. The sealing function is guaranteed by the labyrinth structure formed by the close contact between the rise ring and the inner surface of the sealing cavity, the ring and the sealing cavity on the rotating shaft, and the series of seal rings. The flow resistance of the series structure in the leakage channel is equal to the superposition of the seal flow resistance of the rise rings. The flow resistance in the leakage channel is theoretically equal when designing the seal. The reasonable design of the ring type rotary seal device needs to ensure the sealing performance, and at the same time, it has a longer service life to prevent the occurrence of the failure of the ring. The main failure modes of the ring type rotary seal device are as follows: the ring rotates with the shaft, and the main seal surface of the ring is worn.
